Why is a Lutheran preschool the right place for my child?

The Lutheran church has highly valued education since its beginning nearly 500 years ago. In the 1830s, when the founding members of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod emigrated from Germany to the United States, the first building they erected upon landing in Saint Louis, Mo. was a school in which they held their church services.

Today, Lutheran schools comprise the largest Protestant parochial school system. In the Indiana District of the Missouri Synod alone, there are currently 47 free-standing early childhood centers, 47 elementary schools (many of which also have a preschool), and three high schools, totaling 12,000+ students. Of course nationally there are far more schools in those categories, plus colleges. We firmly believe in the importance of a Christ-centered education; it’s part of who we are.

In order to assure families that choosing a Lutheran school will mean choosing a high level of excellence for their child’s education we have developed the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation (NLSA). National accreditation is the pinnacle of accreditation because it goes beyond the patchwork of what individual states require. Faith Lutheran Preschool and Christian Child Care is NLSA accredited.

What is the National Lutheran School Accreditation?

The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod created a voluntary accreditation process to improve the quality of its schools. Accreditation assures parents that the school complies with national standards.
